I was about to ask the same, but if I recall correctly there was some pricing or listing error that caused Wii mini's to be sent out en masse for basically nothing. Then you would resell it for a cheaper than MSRP price and still make a profit.

op here again. when i heard club nintendo was closing i made an account. started being ratchet and going to game stores and stealing the codes. then i was on ebay stealing codes from newly listed ads of games. then i saw all you needed for a wii mini code was the serial number. so i started pumping those into child accounts. it's amazing how this affected nintendo so hard that they were banning accounts. but all the physical shit i ordered came in. and i made hundreds of dollars off ebay

Every Nintendo console has basically been the same from the N64 onwards - a slew of good first party games with some underappreciated third party exclusives to boot. N64 had Rare and Gamecube did a little better with multiplats but aside from that they're all basically the same library-wise.

Seriously though that was so much fun, frantically looking through old eBay listings and Wii Mini reviews to snag the serial number before anyone else for coins. Then the extreme autists that went as far as to reverse engineer the serial number and figured out the pattern. Too bad the prizes were utter garbage, it was still fun.
