I really need one /v/.
>>
Mother 3
>>
Katamari, Grow Home, Rayman. Cheer up, Op.
>>
The game industry isn't mature enough for a game to take on mental illness, sadly.

Though Silent Hill: Shattered Memories wasn't bad story-wise.
>>
>>344054394
He said against depression, not about depression, dumbass.
>>
>>344054585
What does that even mean though? What is he looking for? An enjoyable game?
>>
>>344054118
I tried to laugh but i can't

>>344054278
I've already played katamari and rayman since years ago except to Grow Home, i will check out this game, thanks anon!

I've been depressed for so long with my shitty life, hope some games will help me get through those feels.
>>
Witcher 3 will take you out of the real world for a good while.
>>
>>344054585
You're right

>>344055000

I just want a game which help me to fight my depression, i have not enough money to pay anything else like psychologist beside food and electricity, no friends, family who hate me...etc

>I just want a game which help me to fight my depression, i have not enough money to pay anything else like psychologist beside food and electricity, no friends, family who hate me...etc
If you're looking for some games that are just meant to be fun, that have a good vibe, I suggest:
>Wonderful 101
>Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
>Splatoon
>Child of fucking Eden

I'm sorry if I sounded like an asshole. I was genuinely wondering what you meant.
>>
>>344055180
I've liked witcher 1, didn't like witcher 2 at all, maybe the third episode will be great to me.

I will try it too anon. Thanks to all of you and those who will suggest games to help me.
>>
>>344055567
You don't need to apologize, i'm the retard one here because i wasn't clear enough.

I can play child of eden, not the other games you suggested me, i've only got a PC, ps3 and 3ds sorry.

Try Kid Icarus: Uprising. Great game with a great, fun atmosphere. It's a very bright, vibrant game with a gorgeous atmosphere, very fun, deep gameplay, and a colorful cast of characters who all have some fantastic banter.

Child of Eden is a fantastic game that you should be able to find cheap somewhere. Sincerely one of the most underrated games ever. It's a true, genuine, beautiful experience that almost brought me to tears.

You're not a retard, OP.
>>
>>344056031
Why not, i've heard a lot about undestale's humor.
>>
Spyro & crash 123

Het an emu + controller and enjoy these timeless masterpieces

>waah im so depressed :(

chin up faggot and stop being a little bitch

You convinced me for Kid Icarus, i've heard that this game does not even taking himself seriously.

I will check out child of eden too, thanks for your support anon.

No problem anon. KI:U is just good fun, doesn't even remotely take itself seriously for the most part. Probably one of the more magical games to come out recently too.

And CoE is an audio-visual experience. It's so amazing.
>>
>>344055002
Yeah sorry, mother 3's still a great game though.

Chrono trigger is a great game, it had sad moment but it made the character in it more stronger, like you will.

This. It's impossible to be sad while playing AC.

>>
>>344058832
Never played any Stalker, i will try this serie.

I've seen a resumed of Yume Nikki, i've feel related to the main chracter in this game, i will try it.

Never heard of VA-11 Hall-A, i will try it too and i've already played New Vegas, the best 3d fallout.

Thanks anon.
>>
Indie exploration games are good.

Not like, the sad, somber, "mystery" type ones, but like the light-hearted, adventure, bright colors kind.

Grow Home

Final Fantasy IX has some depressing shit and storylines but overall it's a pretty upbeat, colorful adventure.
>>
>>344053658
Persona 4. Seriously.

It's upbeat but not obnoxiously so. It's long and pretty fulfilling once you reach the ending. It has a pretty positive outlook on life.
>>
>>344058995
I've never heard of these you suggested me except quake 2, super meat boy and secret of mana, i will try to play all of them if it's possible, thanks anon.
>>
Another anon said gone home. I have to say that cheered me up after a bad week. You will feel better soon anon don't worry
>>
>>344059109
Seconding this. Animal Crossing is good vibes: the game. Everything is silly or calm and you can do everything at your own pace. New Leaf is probably the best in the series along with the Gamecube version.
>>
Persona 4 is a great friend-simulator
>>
>Any games against depression?
someday we will decipher what this means

The last 4 are snes games.
The others are extremely easy to get.
Cave story is free, McPixel and Machinarium are dirt cheap.

The last time I had a childhood-tier "oh shit it's been 8 hours and I forgot to sleep" timesink was playing South Park: Stick of Truth

Basically anything with "one more game/level/turn" mindset is good for it.

"One more game" multiplayer: Overwatch
"One more turn/level" single player: Elder Scrolls games, Civ V, Bioshock

at least for me

Not really. Online friends might help, but video games won't on their own. Vidya is an inherently isolated activity, and isolation is the primary cause of depressive symptoms.

Mother 3's actually not a bad choice, depending on what's making you sad. If you're dealing with loss, it might just be what you need. I played through it after my dad passed, and it helped me sort through some of my emotions and thoughts.

But if you're depressed for reasons you can't label, you probably shouldn't play video games for a bit. Go outside and meet people. Or play multiplayer games with friends, particularly couch play.

As stupid as this may sound, watch MLP: FiM when you're taking a break from gaming. I've stopped watching so I don't know if anything past season 4 is good, but the show is light hearted, colorful, and easy fun. Helped me when I was succidal.
>>
>>344065482
>I've already played SF4, is SF3 really different?
Wildly so. SF4 tried to as far different from 3 because 3 is the most technical git gud game in the series. SF4 is like a more casual, I don't mean that in a bad way because I'm not elitist, slower version of SF4 with a larger roster and less appealing aesthetics. I can have fun with 4 but I'm not it's biggest fan. Do a little research on 3 if you're interested. If you're not SF2 and SF Alpha 3 are also pretty great.

Also, Third Strike Ken is one of the greatest fighting game characters of all time.
>>
>>344065636
You'd be suprised. There is an oversaturation of self-diagnosed PTSD, autism, depression and ""social anxiety"" it's unreal.

You're not going to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps. If you're not willing to directly address the issue, then I recommend visiting a therapist, who can get a better idea of your specific situation and help you formulate a strategy that works for you. If you're not working to get better, you're probably getting worse. Don't just play video games in the hopes that it flips a switch because you'll quickly find yourself bereaved of time.

But then i understand what was my probleme. It was induce by my lack of success in life, to fulfill my ambition. So i tried harder to succeed in college i take some magnesium and vitamine to be boosted, and after passing my test i felt like nothing happen, it was all in my head and fuck social glory fuck money fuck everything i want to be free and alive and happy so now i dont care about social weigh i care about myself and i just chill every moment of my life.

>I don't have enough money for a therapist

If you're unemployed, I recommend getting a job (please don't take that the wrong way). Even if you're still not making enough to afford a therapist (I recommend learning about your options. You might be surprised what is available to you), getting and holding a job will help you make positive life changes. It is too easy to fall into a cycle of self-neglect and emotional degradation as a NEET.

But once you finish a happy game, you'll get a post-game depression, anon.

Try to get spare cash to talk to a therapist, helped me out a lot actually.

I will listen them then, thanks again anon.

You remind me about this game's existence, thanks for that anon.

Even if i hate the principal and the vice principal of my old school with all my guts for being a part of my actual life, killing is a no to me in case you were serious.

For kirby, i should try this serie, thanks anon.

I don't know if you're aware since you're posts are slightly funny but I'm the SF3, L4D2 and the 2Pac guy. All those posts were me.

> Were you that annoyed by me merely calling you stupid?

Anon, use your poor little brain, you didn't even use the world "projection", how the hell can you think that I was replying to you? I obviously misquoted, my post was for >>344066246
>Hello, projection, my old friend.

But, more importantly, I would never post a serious or semi-serious reply to someone like you.
As annoying as that guy can be, he clearly isn't an angry idiot who desperatly try to provoke people for attention like you.
But who cares, be happy, even if it was only because of a mistake, you got a little more attention! Enjoy it, but don't exepect more from me.

Don't worry about it, man.

Crusader Kings II. Seriously. But then again, I played that during a time of anxiety and heartbreak, not clinical depression.

Best Ending. I-I-It's not like I like him, though, I just don't hate him.

I suffer from depression and anxiety. And Gravity Rush actually helped a lot. With my anxiety mostly because I think, worry, and obsess over life shit.

It was the perfect game to just turn my brain off and fly around collecting gems and doing challenges with a comfy OST.

But the same can be said with any game. A lot of the time I just play vidya to relax and not think about shit.

I know i can be annoying, a lot of people saying that numeorous time to me before, but thanks for defending me, for your support anon.

Well as long as you were replying to me and not him, what's annoying is when I have experience with these feelings and am relaying things I've tried that have worked (whether or not they work for him is his judgement) and someone accuses me of parroting received banality I've never dealt with personally because they (I assume) have had a different experience with misery, clinical depression, and ever the twain shall meet.

Good argument. This isn't a safespace where you can find likeminded selfdiagnosed. Nobody is trying to provoke you; you aren't that important.

Come give me a hug.
