I have mixed feelings about the Scorcher in Gears.
It can't compare to the Gnasher as a close encounter weapon, but it's just so god damn satisfying toasting grubs and hearing them scream like they're actually on fire.

Exactly. Rising Storm flamethrower is the exact kind of "oh shit" device I've always imagined it to be in video games. In most other games it has piss poor range, fuckall ammo and enemies have to be on fire for something like five seconds (while still shooting at you) to die.
