Doesn't help that 2 is shorter and easier. The only things cool about 2 were the Lumen Sage fights.

They are on par. On one side, the second one is a tad easier to play. On the other, the first one is full of unecessary shit like the driving sections and the death QTEs.
So they have both flaws and they both have their own merits, which equals to both games being on the same league.

Portal 2 was a casual shitfest compared to the first game. Find the Portal surface to solve the puzzle. Sure the story was more fleshed out and entertaining, but the actual puzzle elements were simplified and casualized.

I honestly enjoyed the sequel more. It had more gun variety,more class variety, more enemy variety, more setting variety and best of all better side-quest

I like hotline miami 2. It's definitely too gun-centric, but that was what made it harder and HM1 is probably too easy once you get the hang of it.
It definitely has a better scoring system than the arcane shit that was HM1's where you could have two similar runs with completely different scores because of how "bold" the game calculated you were or some shit.
