Bad game and people here are worshipping it. Loses the essential basic elements of an FPS, like a level being one singular unit..Instead levels are broken down into encounters and the game autosaves after each encounter, its a different type of game than oldschool fps. more like painkiller.

It's a great game, the problem is that Bethesda marketing, in their infinite wisdom, took the greatest single player FPS of our times and marketed it as a multiplayer experience, even when that aspect of it was outsourced to incompetents who thought CoD/Halo style multiplayer would go together with what is the natural evolution of the classic Doom games.
Despite those faults, despite Snapmap being a poor consolized/Denuvo created substitute for real modding, and despite the game having crashed on me multiple times (mostly during level Argent Facility (Destroyed)), I don't regret buying it at a full price. It's that good.

it's one of the worst designed shotguns ever, it has a stupidly low amount of pellets, and the cone is LUDICROUS, but each pellet does stupid damage
that leaves a completely inconsistent weapon, where you could actually be standing 1 foot in front of someone and miss
it was horrible trying to use that from 5 feet away, having my crosshair in centre mass, and having the pellets fly around the corridor like I was using a blunderbuss rather than something which had a barrel

I need to try and pass that first level on ultra nightmare to get that trophy but I really suck at FPS so that'll take a while.
At least having grown up on the originals I never really got out of the run and gun mindset and found the cover based shooters something I never really adapted to.

It feels like more of a tech demo for the engine, while Shadow Warrior is the actual game.
