This. I've started building up Lakeview manor but it just doesn't feel as comfy as Honeyside. That and the Satanic ritual taking place 20 meters down the hill. I wish the Riften log cabin look was available for Hearthfire.

What should I go for in the East wing: Armory, library or kitchen?

Aww man. The dragons were my least favorite thing about this game. Nothing against dragons or even the ones in the game but I really hate having them flying around toasting everything the entire game.

I wish they all stuck around lairs where you could go meet and engage them like a boss battle instead of flying around and ruining the game every ten feet.

Don't use followers, alchemy, conjuration, or a bow.

TK Dodge

Look around for some mods focusing on some aspect of combat that isn't actually viable normally.

Most of the difficulty or combat mods are just shit. To actually challenge yourself it's better to just try avoiding the things that are broken in vanilla.

>>
>>344025335
Alchemy can buff itself with potions of alchemy ad nauseam, allowing you to make progressively stronger and stronger alchemy potions to buff your skills higher and higher. You then make some enchantment and smithing potions to make god tier gear. You then make some buff potions. Any time in the future you want to make more, you just chug one of your impossibly powerful alchemy potions you made.

Congratulations. You have just become the most powerful stealth archer in the history of the world.

There are so many worthwhile mods out there that it's pretty overwhelming. I'd say take a look at STEP, SkyrimGems and tesgen to get a general mod core. From there you just kinda build up from running across recommendations, browsing files of the month on the Nexus or just scanning top rated files.

I try new house mods all the time and always end up defaulting back to this one.
>>
>>344041431
an overhauled oblivion would still look like ass and not something that could be sold. oblivion would need a full remake, not just a little remaster.
>>
>>344041707
What part of 'overhaul' confused you?
>>
>>344041707
you can already mod oblivion to look as good as skyrim ENBs

The only Sexlab mod I used and actually enjoyed is amorous adventure simply because it feels like it fits.

Honestly I dunno. I never used them since if I was gonna be all magicky it felt like a waste to use my magic to do exactly what I'd do with a non magic character.

It is helpful at least to learn Bound Dagger so you can slash up a ghost early game before you get a good enchanted weapon.

And if you damage, repair it, and drop it you now have a shiny new weightless Daedric weapon or armor.
>>
>>344017331
Honestly the hearthfire dlc had the comfiest homes. Built one huge house from scratch and it was comfy as fuck when I got it how I liked.

Yeah I guess. But I didn't even think to do that back then because I'm such a build purist.

anyway, after all these years, there is still no amount of mods that can fix the horrible base game, especially the godawful quests and dungeons.

The only good wife is Ysolda.
She's the only one other than Muiri who isn't a granny and doesn't have a manface. But unlike Muiri, she doesn't hire assassins to kill people but is good with money instead, and thus makes for a good housewife.

Or create your own house that use that resource.
>>
>>344046053
Submit's shout is much better than fumbling around with Defeat's grappling mechanic since you wind up killing the target half of the time. But I just like the additional functions of being able to strip/kidnap neutral NPCs too. I personally use both.
>>
>>344047987
It saves the changes but it still opens in small window.
>>
Let's review.

>Breezehome: Not the most luxurious, doesn't have an enchanting table but walking to Dragonsreach isn't too much of a chore, and god damn if Whiterun in general isn't cozy as fuck

>Honeyside: A bit nicer than breezehome, has a balcony with a good view of the lake, unfortunately everywhere else in the city is a shithole.

>Vlindrel Hall: It's the darkest house, the floors and walls are primarily stone, these can be either comforting or unsettling depending on your tastes. Has the most book storage places. Similarly to Riften, the city as a whole is a terrible place to live, but but it is kind of relaxing knowing that a dragon would be able to do fuckall to pretty much the whole city, and the dwarven architecture is generally pretty cool.

>Hjerim: Pretty fancy, has the most places to display armor and weapons; nice place to live if you're cool with the Stormcloaks and aren't put off by the fact that a necromancer was holding up there before you got it. I like the snowy weather too. (I wish there was a proper player home in Winterhold)

>Proudsquire Manor: Objectively the most luxurious house in the game and is within the most luxurious city in the game. However, it's a decent walk to all the shops, and it can be off-putting if you're enemies with the Empire.

Looking back, I always felt the most at-ease in Breezehome.

How easy is it to make/import custom assets though, like your own windowframes or wall textures?
