Any relatively new, good city builders? Also city builders thread pic related one of the most charming games I ever played the only thing I hated about it was how fucking hard it was to have a standing army.

I dunno, but bump
I played tropico the other daymyself, fun game but shitty roads system/combat but very comfy otherwise and with good music
Not really a city builder technically, but Industry Giant 2 got an updated Steam release some time ago.
try factorio

Recently got Anno 1602 from GOG, which was one of the first games I ever played, and had an absolute blast with it. Unfortunately, after like 5 hours of play, I realized that there was no gold on the map and then I couldn't progress any further
cities skylines was 10 dollas on steam sale. pity if you missed it
It is not that bad

Is this from the same developers that made Caesar? Never seen it before
>>344015739
Yes it's the same studio.
>>344015739
Pharaoh is from the same studio as well. Holy trinity of city builders.
>>344015739
This game is GOAT
So is Cities: Skylines as good as people say? Haven't built a nice city in a while, but it's pretty expensive out of sale.

Lethis path of progress is the closest thing to Zeus, Pharaoh and Caesar.

Why does everyone seem to forget about Emperor though?
Last one they made and most polished, comfiest setting of them all

>Lethis path of progress is the closest thing to Zeus, Pharaoh and Caesar.
Uhm...
>>344019870
Made recently you fuck come on.
Emperor is literally made by sierra and is obviously going to be similar.
>>344015686
"No."
>>344019870
Is this one any good? I always hear only about Caesar, Pharaoh and sometimes Zeus but no one ever mentions Emperor.
Skylines looks to serious for my taste I prefer laid back city builders.
>>344015686
Still have it installed. Really good game despite the small plot size.
Need a new builder though since 2205 turned out to be dog shit.
No good big-budget city builder released this century.
Everyone keep answering Banished, which was fun but ultimately there was little to do.
>>344020154
It's not. In fact, you will probably wind up wishing that it were more serious. You can build very large cities though.
>>344015686
The bad start was probably the main reason why this didn't get caught on.
The smaller area didn't help either
>still play it from time to time
>>344020081
Emperor is great. I think it's way better than Zeus or Pharaoh.
The original Evil Genius is great.
It is a base builder, but it is more satisfying and fun that any city game I've build.
>>344015739
This, loved Caesar games even if they were bullshit difficult
>>344021050
Fuck Red Ivan though
>>344021646
>Not wanting your base destroyed by your own guy
get good
Lethis: Path of Progress is really good.
>>344021774
Then why no one heard about it?
>>344022307
Idk. Why are you asking me that question?
>>344021774
Is it more complex than Zeus/Pharaoh/Caesar? Is it fun?
>>344023334
I'd say it's a bit simpler in terms of how production goes. It also doesn't have combat. But I still find it very very fun. It has really good style, charm and music. One feature that is really cool too is that it also shows you the patrol paths your walkers will take and how effective they will be.
The biggest issue I have is that trade isn't as big as a money maker as in the old impression games. If you want to really make money to have to cater to the elite houses.
>>344019770
>ancient china
>more comfy than Egypt, Greece or Rome
>>344014530
>want to play some comfy IG2 with SGDQ in the background
>doesn't have a windowed mode
>only have one monitor
Fuck it, time to get out my Vitato open the stream on it, not gonna let that prevent me from getting my fix of based German economy simulations
cities skylines
