It's not a matter of difficulty, you smarmy dipshit. The feature only worked the first time because the games were still using the traditional top-down sprite format. Nothing had remotely realistic scales or proportions, so it wasn't a problem to plop an Onix behind you wherever you went. With the games now being fully 3D, they would have to completely alter the sizes of many Pokemon in order for it to be feasible, or else your pet Wailord will be blocking the camera and clipping through all kinds of narrow pathways. Think about things for a second before you bitch about not having them.
