I haven't played this game yet, but how does everyone know that there's so much cut content? Especially from something specific like Chapter 2?

Half of the missions in chapter 2 is just chapter 1 missions but harder. There is also chapter 3 in the files and a unfinished cutscene.
They literally tell you there was cut content in the bonus features.

The MGS fanbase is just really shit and is disappointed MGSV isn't the second coming of jesus, and instead, just a pretty competent game, with a good but not great storyline.

Not bullshit. I went through it pretty quickly (but thoroughly) and still came out at like a hundred hours or some bullshit. This DID include some mother base sneaking missions, though, so I guess it's not a totally accurate number. But the game is DEFINITELY 60+ hours.

If you want to 100% the game, it's 100-140hrs. Maybe one or two games last year that top that. I personally put in 110-ish hours, but couldn't be bothered with all the optional mission objectives.

You do know that majority of the big game journalism sites took part in that time limited pre - release boot camp, and thus most reviewers literally skipped most of tge optional content, making the game feel bigger and better pacd than it really is? They don't. The bonus disk that came with the collectors edition included unfinished scenes for ONE mission.
Everything else is just people unwilling to believe Kojima wouldn't love up to their hype and just assuming drama at Konami ruined the game. I admit it makes sense, but there is no proof.
