Despite all the shit this game gets nowadays it was pretty neat playing it for the first few weeks with /v/ and just talking about it. By now though it's reached its even horizon in terms of what's to be discussed and a continuation/sequel doesn't seem very likely any time soon. Guess the kids can have fun with it now.

Cause it's the first point in the game that offers up different gameplay during battle. The blue 'don't move when it's blue' attacks are introduced about 20 minutes before the battle, and he starts throwing out blue bones and you think "wow this battle is piss easy he's such a joke..." and then the game fools you with the blue heart. Gameplay completely changes, most people get hit by the first bone, and the music picks up right after he says it.

Pacifist is great and genocide is neat (if a bit frighteningly unfinished), but both feel a little unobvious. After a couple times sparing Toriel I gave up when she was repeating lines and figured I had to hit her a couple times before I spared her, like pokemon, but then she dies at like half her HP so that's a bit misleading. Also when I tried doing genocide I didn't think to grind and kill everyone. I wish there were more hints. Felt like the game was designed around looking shit up online which is not how you should do it.
Good game though. Might enter my top 10 if Toby Fox patches in a proper genocide route (he won't) or a full hard mode (he won't, the jew).

And if that wasn't bad enough in the genocide run Chara's spirit possesses Frisk's body, destroys all of reality, and then murders everyone if you reset it and go for the happy ending.
Chara is literally the source of all the pain and suffering in that game and he 100% deserved to die.

Asgore was just on a heavy mix of sadness and blind rage when he came out with his 'kill all the humans' thing and after he calmed down it's obvious that he doesn't actually want to kill them at all but feel pressured into doing it because it gave his people hope for the future again. If Asgore really, truly wanted to break the barrier and slam jam humanity he would have absorbed the soul of the first human to fall down, pass the barrier and get medieval on the nearest humans - but he didn't.
This is actually why Toriel leaves him (which is pretty fucked up of her), not because she's mad that Asgore said he'll kill all the humans, but because she got mad that he 'lost his spine' and didn't go kill them all at once.
