Uh, nothing.

Atmosphere, setting, good VAs and attention to detail makes it a good game. The RPG aspects are trash and the game itself is a buggy mess.

Started playing it a while ago. Great voice acting, interesting and rich setting, atmospheric music, but clunky and dated gameplay, aswell as level design. Dropped it after a while, I messed around too much and couldn't progress in some areas without backtracking and doing exactly what the devs want me to do. I heard the devs got fucked over by valve - shame, really - might've been up there with the greats if they got more time to polish it.

Deus Ex is beats it in every other aspect besides the aforementioned strengths: Voice acting and setting.Both have a decent soundtrack.

There are tons of other RPGs that are better: Baldur's Gate 2, Diablo 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1, Witcher 3, Morrowind, KotoR 2 and as I mentioned Deus Ex.

There are many more that are probably better but I haven't played em, yet - Planescape Torment for example.

It's a nice niche RPG game, but unfortunately the gameplay itself is pretty weak.

The fanboys are all brainless brujahs that'll defend it all cost with brute force.

Equipment is a joke, only one armor slot that is trash. No different stuff to choose from just flat out upgrades. Don't like the look? well to bad

The hub based world is not believable. 3 streets don't make a town. And 90% of the NPC's are lifeless copypasted whore/homeless.

weapon stats are also almost only upgrades. Gun-play is shit.

Magic system is not the best and lacks variety.
