ITT: The saviors of VR
VR is dead and cannot be saved

I think its dead now since Oculus and Htc are both priced at the enthusiast level instead of starting with a basic consumer level version
Hopefully these two products can turn it around

PS VR is sold out. What do you say to that
>>343913001
The supply is low
>>343913427
Gamestop sold out of its entire backup supply in minutes and now Sony isn't making more till release date, how is that low supply?
>>343912951
Welp, if Oculus didn't shoved a fucking DAC for audio and these stupid headphones it would be 100 USD shorter.
How does it stack up to the other VR headsets?
>>343913839
They also charged for an xbox controller and havent priced their oculus move controller yet?
Did you buy one?

Lower resolution and field of view. Vive and Rift have 110 degrees and 2160x1200 combined resolution.
That being said, it's a cheaper option. Even with the Move controllers and camera tacked onto the price, it's still 100$ or so short of the Rift.
It's worth noting, though, that the Move controllers are miserable in comparison to the Vive's sub-millimeter Lighthouse tracking. They're closer to Wiimotes. Not to say that they're entirely inaccurate, but they're not nearly as good.
VR doesn't need to be saved.
The Rift and Vive have sold far more than expected. PSVR is going down the same path.
In two years or so, we're gonna see much more reasonably-priced HMDs for the average consumer, at around the same time AAA companies start making real games for the damn things and the average PC can render two high-resolution offset images at 90hz.
