Alright, from about 2010-2013 I lost my gaming life, so I'm replaying everything I missed.

What the fuck was with this game? >10/10 story telling
>10/10 audio and visuals
>8/10 unique detective mechanics
>literally 3/10 gameplay

The combat and cover system were fucking shit tier with Cole taking 'cover' against a wall directly facing someone. Then when you aim in a generic 8,ft away from the target. All of the cars handled practically the same, car and footchases are on linear tracks that'll just zip them along turns and obstacles on a dime. Also, fucking wooden fences, wood posts, and tiny 1 ft curbs stop you dead in your tracks, and are unbreakable.

Didn't GTA 4 come out like 2-3 years before LA Noir? Why the fuck would rockstar publish that shit when they could have implemented a few old tricks and made a solid 9.5/10 franchise?

Its not meant to be a gta they just used the same engine.
>>
Because it was supposed to just be a detective/cop game. Then rockstar bought the company and said "IT MUST BE MORE LIKE GTA!"

The workload destroyed the company and it closed down.

i really enjoyed it for what it was

Thats the point. In gta there's destructive environments (metal fences, tiny obstacles can be driven through). Vehicles handle differently, with different speed. Fuck man there's not even a jump button in noire.

I did too but the ending annoyed the shit out of me.
>revolves around footchases, car chases, and shooting people.
>All the worst mechanics of the game
>Then when it's all over there is no replay

Can't even play as Kelso. What the hell

Combat was fine. There were only a few big combat scenes and the mechanics served well enough, the biggest issue I found (and it is still the issue preventing me from replaying it today) was the shit interrogation scenes. Interrogation was so unintuitive and Cole would flip his shit seemingly at random. I would have preferred dialogue boxes so that I would at least have an idea as to how Cole would react.

Not really 10/10 storytelling, the cheating was shoehorned and the ending was rushed. Otherwise nice, I really liked

I'll blow your FUCKING HEAD OFF

>10/10 story telling
>homicide dragged on for way too fucking long
>literally no explanation for cole cheating

>>343914921

Reason for was the cheating was so that Cole could die without being a family man, I'm thinking

You have NO standards.
