Good things about the new dragonball series including the movies:
1. Beerus and Whis. Their position doesn't make too much sense but they're funny.
2. Lakers Frieza. The color scheme makes up for the fact he's a shitty recolor.

Actually, we were told by Jump magazine that they made their wish then in both timelines. People were confused because BoGs made it seem like it had been a recent thing.

Ontop of that in Dragon Ball KI is used to weaken the damage done by attacks. The attack by Krillan to mortally wound Vegeta was probably strong enough to just blow up a small mountain but Vegeta lowered his guard in order for it to deal damage to him despite being way stronger than Krillan
This is the reason Perfect Cell took a full power Super Vegeta final flash with enough force to destroy the planet and then some and only lost a limb he prepared for it despite the fact he was only a bit stronger than a super sayian given Goku was able to go even with him during their fight.
And ultimately this is why Goku was hurt by the Frieza Blaster(Which is space age tech not some weak pea shooter) he wasn't prepared to take the blow
