That CPU is fantastic. The RX 480 is legit... as long as you have a motherboard that can deal with the current overdraw. It'll be AMD's most solid card in a long time when that kink gets worked out.

Not always. This gen does seem pretty good in efficiency though.
I really though my CPU would be bottlenecking this, I was wrong.
So why is everyone acting like VR is this crazy new special technology field or something, "is it VR ready" it's just rendering the same thing it always did, but twice, if an older game got VR support you could play it on anything, if Crysis 3 got VR support it wouldn't play on anything regardless how "VR-ready" it is.

"VR ready" is a thing right now because for this generation of VR every single dev has targeted the 970 as the baseline. So if you have a 970 or better you are guaranteed to be able to run everything on Oculus Home or on Steam.
