Not sure if the demo can really help doing that. First few times I played I wasn't sure it was for me. Never got into 3U and 4U was a bit slow. But I ended up getting 1000 hours in 4U. Once you learn how monster fights are about positioning and taking advantage of opportunities, it just clicks.

It's stronger than previous games by nature of having double notes now.
Hitting a monster will turn the note you play into a double, and playing a song with all double notes will play both the song you just inputted AND the previous song you played, and you can encore both of them as well.
It makes Maestro unnecessary as a skill as long as you can keep it up.
