To defeat Orcs you're gonna have to outsmart them. There's no way a human would beat them in close quarters combat. They're literally the definition of STR vs DEX.
The actors sucked, the special effects were hit and miss and the characterisation was half assed.
I didn't hate it, but it wasn't a good movie by any stretch of the imagination. The Orcs looked fucking fantastic though.
Also why where the orcs so tall or why where they not more hunched because in wow they don't seem that much taller then humans

Arguably its biggest problem.
As for players of Warcraft and fans of high fantasy in general, it did a serviceable job, but it did to little to be inclusive to those who might not be. If it had any hope of winning over critics and normie audiences in the west, it would have had to center itself a bit more on a relatable character, and tell most of the story from his viewpoint.
As stands though, one of the three Hollywood made video game movies worth a damn, the other two being Mortal Kombat and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I don't know what it is about the film though, its just overall bleh. Orcs entered, and by the end of the film nothing changes except the formation of the Alliance. Also High Elves looked so god awful and the fight choreography was bad.

My biggest gripe with the movie was the ending. I would have loved to see stormwind burn. Blizzard games used to have the edgiest endings and you rarely get to see that kind of stuff in movies anymore.
I think the biggest problem with the movie was being based off the first game. It's so boring in comparison to WC2 and 3. More races and more characters.
At least there's chances of a sequel happening now that Warcraft is the highest grossing video game movie of all time. But holy shit did it bomb in the states. I guess American WoW players are in the minority.

Prince of Persia was a fine sword and sandal adaption and fairly faithful to the series. Not great, but good enough, like Warcraft.
Silent Hill however looked the part, had a great soundtrack, but had the most retarded script that has been put to the Silent Hill franchise's name, and that's a tough competition after the Team Silent days.

Like a few others have said in the thread so far, the gul'dan parts were amazing and despite what /tv/ will tell you the CGI was pretty damn good for the most part. Blizzard, like most companies, can't just fund a movie by themselves. Its a huge risk. That is why it took forever for outside studios to take interest, mainly because Hollywood ran dry years ago and they are trying to grab anything they can on the way down, and took up video games.
