Only use her when it makes sense to use her. Defending the first point of an assault or hybrid map makes sense.
Use your turrets as ambush weapons. Booby-trap flanking routes and medpacks as much as you can.
Spam your M2 to build up ult charge then get your teleporter up. It's basically six free revives.
If you get the drop on someone you can melt their health away with your M1. Keep close, jump and circle strafe the enemy to avoid return fire. Symmetra can be a great flanker if you engage a distracted team from behind or above. Be careful trying this shit on Reinhardt, if you're in range to M1 him then you're close enough for him to hammer you.

My friend is rank 45 and he begged me to carry him (I'm rank 65).
I got put on a team where we had 1 tank, who was my friend, me as Soldier 76 so I can carry and surprise suprise, 4 more offense heroes, Genji, Reaper, Pharah and Hanzo of course.
All of them refused to switch to support, even after I had 50 kills and 3 deaths by the middle of the match.
The Hanzo was so bad even the enemy team shit talked him.
That guy didn't deserve to get carried by me, however he's not gonna get carried every game so he'll eventually drop to 40 or less where he belongs.
I'm rank 65 and I've seen TWO Hanzos in comp play so far, and they were god tier.

I just got out of what started as pretty good game on Lijang until the fourth round when a enemy switched to hanzo and it pretty much became 6v5 because he spent the enitire time a good distance away from the objective shooting arrows at the objective refusing to move from his spot even in overtime. but hey he got the killstreak card so im sure he thought he was carrying.

I can literally curbstomp the enemy teams tanks RoadHog,Reindhart especially. Assinate Mercy, Zenyatta. And crush Hanzo and Widowmaker assuming they don't headshot me.
The only character that feels like a challenge is Soldier 76. I can win the first part of the fight but then the fucker just heals up and shoots rockets. Then the fight is about if I can play dodge ball and kill him before his heal field is usable again.

To be fair, Hanzo's mark arrows are incredibly useful for team support.
It's just that most Hanzos are shit at using them/don't coordinate them with the team.
I've had some amazing defense and offense shutouts that were almost exclusively thanks to Hanzo marking people. Unfortunately this usually requires a good Hanzo and good communication.
