Using mods? Disable them and re-enable one of them at a time, find the one that breaks the game and update it.

Huh, weird. Try making a new file, then save in another slot, then try loading that.
Also, try to verify cache through steam maybe.
Worst case, re-install it.
Are you on windows 10? If so, you might have to run it in compatibility modo.
