Why does Doom 4 just keep crashing every 15 minutes?
Gentle bump. Am I the only one having problems?
Final bump.

I don't know, is your PC a piece of shit?
>>343838889
It runs fine for me bro.
not optimized for low end pc hardware
lower the graphics to lowest settings try that
>>343840640
It's quite good, actually.
i7 5820k
16 GB 3000Mhz C15 memory
Asus GTX 1080 FE
ASRock X99 Extreme4 mobo
>>343840883
I played with a lot lower settings, the game still crashed.
>>343840648
What specs do you run it on?
>>343841045
>quite good
lol
the fuck you should be well over 60fps
>>343841376
I'm at steady 120 fps at 1920x1080. It's only when I go 3840x2160 that it drops to 40-60 fps, but it's still rock solid with no slowdowns until the game crashes.
do you have something running in the background you aren't aware of?
>>343841893
There's a lot of nvidia and Win10 shit running in the background but honestly, nothing to eat through 16 GB of RAM. I turn off Matlab every time I start playing.
>>343841045
>>343841637
What OS, and everything up to date there? Geforce experience in game shit disabled? Same for Steam overlay? If on Win 10 you can also look in to disabling Xbox nonsense like game DVR.
Personally I haven't had to do a thing, had one crash that I suspect was actually due to another utility I use.
>>343841637
>3840x2160
maybe it doesn't like that resolution
try a 1440p
does it crash often at 1080p?
Mines would crash any time I opened the tab menu after doing something that would automatically move the first selection when I pressed tab to that part, like getting a data entry then hitting tab would move it straight to the journals, and would crash me.
Is it more random than that for you?
>>343838889
ill pm you a fix
>>343842115
Win10 x64 Home. Geforce experience is installed but not running when the game is running. I haven't switched off Steam overlay, does it make that much of a difference?
>>343842216
It still crashed at 1080p, slightly less often but it would still happen.
>>343842313
Sometimes it's random, sometimes I start the game 3 times in a row and it always crashes in the same spot. Once it gets through that spot, it plays well for 15 minutes and then crashes again.
Only time I crashed was the first time you go to hell when an endless wave eventually times out to a white screen. But I crash there in every play through, and lowering the resolution or running in windowed solves the problem
>>343843049
It happens less in 1920x1080 but I was hoping I could take full advantage of my new rig. Oh well, guess I need to wait for the next patch.
