I'm fucking excited to get into this game, but I won't get my graphics card back in until Wednesday from RMA. It looks great a direct evolution from quake with modern tweaks. Is anyone here having a blast with this game now?

Was too easy. Took me 8 and a half hours on the hardest difficulty, not the one where you have to restart when you die, on my first try.
Was really fun tho, the bosses were anticlimatic.
Never felt challenged desu
It's pretty good in spite of its flaws; a 7/10 at best, that you'll be totally done with in 15 hours.
Not worth spending more than £25 (~$35).

I though they were probably the best possible fights of the "old style" (circlestrafe around a monster shooting) of FPS bosses you could do. There were a least some fun mobility-based gimmicks to the fights (especially the last boss, fucking great fight right there)
You need to go back to Duke 3D and see how fucking braindead these boss fights were. A shitty "fight" boss is still better than the puzzle bosses most shooters have nowadays, but you'll be hard pressed to find anything as good as NuDoom's bosses back in the day

The level design is regression from Quake, and Doom for that matter. You will notice very little variety in encounter design in Doom 4.

Well obviously the singleplayer should be great gory fun just as it always has, but the multiplayer on this game looks on point. Sure they catered to cowadoody faggots just a bit, butostly in the UI and game modes. The gameplay looks like quake 3 got some badass new features and graphics, but for slowed down a tad unfortunately too still looks great desu.
