I dunno. I'm more of a tech guy / programmer.

I don't much give a shit what kind of game it is, so long as the code runs well.

Though I would like to give the users the option to make their own maps/levels, so I'd build a good mapping tool.

Right now ive been wanting a mad max vr game, using the vive its motion controllers and a steering wheel. It would be all about surviving and drive on limited amounts of fuel and while the shotgun would be extremely powerful its ammo would be even rarer to the point where you might get duds as well.

I want to make a turn based strategy game that's got the depth of tabletop wargaming and amazing balance for tournament play. Players should be able to use a wide array of armies that both feel personalized and unique, and able to fight against others without feeling gimped. There shouldn't be a standard meta or cookie cutter armies, or at least there should be so many with enough variances in them to allow players to generate something based on how they want it to work.

I want a video game where you command a Kaiju Response Force. An isometric squad/army command game combined with intricate base building, R&D and persistent enemies that can grow and evolve over many battles. At the start you'd only have the bare bones, some soldiers, a tank and a couple jets, and your goal would primarily be to distract the Kaiju while civilians evacuated. But over time you'd gain finding and start researching ways to fight back. You could research boring missiles to penetrate Kaiju skin, build mecha out of the skeletons of Kaiju you find, or enter a diplomatic relationship with an island nation that worships a Kaiju and get it to fight on your side. All sorts of things.

The Kaiju you fight would be randomly generated with unique appearances and abilities, and have a persistent presence in the overworld map. Say, for example, a giant ant that spits its blood as acid named Terrorthrax appears in Nevada. This procedurally generated Kaiju will have programmed goals and behaviors it will seek to fulfill. In its case as an insect-type kaiju it would want to build a suitable nest so it would start looking for a suitable mate, carve out territory for itself, gather resources like food (humans and livestock) and defend it against humans and other Kaiju. You would have to field missions, perhaps multiple missions, to defend civilian populations from Terrorthrax and find a way to take it down. If you failed to kill it, it would retain what wounds you inflicted and heal over time. Every monster spawned would be a unique foe and would require a different strategy to defeat. Preferably the game would be simple enough to mod that you could add in famous kaiju from throughout the genre's history, like Godzilla, Gamera, the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms and so on.

Please, I don't even want credit for the idea. Someone competent, please make this a reality.

i'd love to work on something like that, a hex grid based strategy game that handles units and heroes in a small scale rather than armies and whatnot where every hex is a city or a piece of it - in fact i'm trying to do that right now but like most projects in my life the drive isn't there and it slowly fades into nonexistence

An open world game where you play as a 90s era Dirty Harry-like cop. Would feature Witcher 3 esque dialogue and world interactivity.

The story would have you as lead field investigator for a serial rapist, and you'd have to choose dialogue options that are conducive to getting leads and evidence.

Optional side quests would be initiated either by police radio, case files in the precinct, or watching crime happen real time. Rewards will be experience, for levels and you get special perks related to the side quest in some way.

Levels will be police ranks, giving you more resources and power as a cop.

There would be a reputation system ala good cop bad cop, and people's reactions to you will be according. The city will also change based on this, similar to how Dishonored handled chaos.

And I've got a list of little things in my head that would kind of immerse the player, like swearing more in dialogue as a bad cop, or citizens coming and thanking you if you're a good one. Little things.

It would be a ton of work, but every time I imagine it, it is fun.

A castlevania-esque rogue-lite about ascending a tower with your choice of 5 different characters. Each one has a distinct playstyle and must navigate the tower in their own special way. Additionally, the bosses you fight change depending on the character you chose, allowing the boss fights to be designed to challenge a character's specific playstyle.

Each character can only be used once per "run" (a run being playing and surviving or dying as each character). Once a character is dead, you cannot play them again until all characters are either dead or have reached the top of the tower. The ending you get is determined based on the number of characters that survived after all 5 characters have been used. Naturally, you can only get the true ending if all characters survive in one full run.
