Thank god you don't need good GPU to play godlike games or masterpieces like LISA.
Already bought a 970 near its launch, no need for an upgrade. Probably just buying a new one when 1440p UW monitors with high refresh rates become affordable.

My 780ti still runs everything I play at max on a 1080p 144hz display. Will maybe upgrade once 4k with highr efresh displays lower is price a bit more.

Essentially, I mean at least the RX 480 has a better supply. But the problem is, it's really hardly an upgrade for most people right now unless you're on some REALLY old shit still.
Also the PCI-E power draw bullshit, which should be fixed soon, but was just such a simple thing for the AMD to avoid in the first place by having an 8-pin connector or the traditional 2x6-pins.
They could have easily priced the RX 480 a bit more and if it could have done even 2/3's what the 1070 does it would have been such a better card, but instead its just a slightly better 970.

Have a 670, was going to get a 1070 but might wait till 1160.
I want 8g VRAM, that's going to be the standard.
I'm good for the next few years. Even then, I'll just need to replace the GPU if Intel keeps up this bullshit of no real upgrades per generation of processor.
