Yeah OP, all three of these are great too.
I'd recommend this when it comes out in a few days. Although most people will probably think it's a bit expensive. Overall really interesting game and atmosphere.
Rimworld gets its steam release next month.

Risk of Rain is good fun, though more fun with friends
Deadbolt is rather good 2d stealth/hotline miami mix up
Mark of the Ninja is the best 2d stealth game ever made
Steamworld Dig is a fun little metroidvania-esque mining game with Western-styled robots
Ori and the Blind Forest is a famously beautiful metroidvania
Axiom Verge is one of the best Metroidvanias in years (I like Metroidvanias, sue me)
Marlow Briggs is a decent God of War knockoff
Jamestown is a good little bullet hell
Bastion is terrific
Anodyne is a Zelda clone with psychological elements (It isn't really a horror game though) that I found very enjoyable
Here's just a few recomendations
Nuclear throne is pretty fun. its a rougelite that doesn't rely on RNG too much like Issac. It has 12 characters that each have their own special ability like rolling or causing corpses to explode. its hard and addictive and overall fun.

Momodora 1-4
Just discovered these games. 1 and 2 are free. 3 and 4 are on steam for cheap. They are very short games although I've spent 20 hours on 4 beating it on every difficulty.
