It also has only half the gameplay and misses the meaning and intent of making the game control the way it did (making Neku learn to work with others and having to start over every time with new people). Mashing works in most cases, and everyone has a different playstyle so I can't give great advice. I think it's easiest to follow the puck and dash or use a stationary pin with Neku when paying attention the top screen. If you play well you should be switching between screens fast enough to see everything that's going on.
I still have trouble doing it with certain characters, though. Beat always gets me with his suit cards.

It's one thing if it's nothing but rehash but there's plenty of reason to continue expanding upon the universe of a good franchise as long as there's still things to explore, and TWEWY had plenty of potential for mysteries that could be unraveled about the whole system or setting up a different kind of plot revolving around the game

People want a sequel because there's a lot of things the universe can easily expand on, and the combat system has great amount of potential coupled with something like the Wii U gamepad for instance. It could use a new set of characters and a new setting to prevent the theme of the original from being affected.

It was actually both, Neku was a special snowflake, and he's later told his interpretation of CAT's work was actually very limited.
As he sees the true meaning of CAT's work and he grows to reach out to people he meets his real potential (seeing as how he technically beats Kitaniji alone, and then utterly destroys his noise form).
I found most of the songs added on the mobile version kinda weak, but I fucking love this one.

I always got the impression that Joshua never really wanted to destroy Shibuya. It seemed to me like he set things up in the hopes that Shibuya would change but that he would have destroyed it if his plans hadn't worked out.
That was the whole reason for picking Neku as his proxy in the first place; take the most bitter, anti-social asshole in the entire city, and use him as a test subject to see if the rest of the city is worth saving. The final game they played was the last test. Neku's willingness to trust Joshua as his partner, even when all the evidence screamed at him not to, was what Joshua needed to see in order to spare Shibuya.
