I hated that shit system so fucking much. I think it was GUN or Section 8: Prejudice that I made a GFWL account and logged in, but apparently it didn't take. I played the game for 8 hours straight then exited it. Went to play again the next day and none of my progress was saved because I wasn't logged into GFWL. Fucking bullshit.

Every time I played it, I found myself wishing it was faster. Would have made it a lot easier to set up the fancy kills and such, if it had more of a Doom style pace to it, instead of the rather plodding speed. I still enjoyed it a lot though.

Yeah, I went to the widescreen gaming forum and used the FoV calculator and edited the 4234 ini entries for a proper FoV in all 5 different view types, shitty part is the files are encrypted and based on that installation so you can't just save them and have to do that shit every single fucking time.

this is probably the game I have played and will ever play the most in my life
there was a solid couple years where I just had a gamecube and that was the only real shooter I owned, so I would play it all the fucking time.
God, I don't even know how much I played it. It was probably on average about 6+ hours per week, every week, for like five years, just in singleplayer, plus it was my default game with friends over so thats another average couple hours per week.
So lets say 9 hours per week, every week, for five years. 9 hours per week * 52 weeks per year * 4 years = around 1872 hours at LEAST that I just spent playing freedom fighters.
I play it at least once a year.

It did, you being XIII is revealed like twenty minutes into the game during the bank mission, "you were caught by your own trap" because of amnesia.
Before the game you are XIII, during the game you are looking for "the thirteen".
Also, it's revealed on the boxart, you have a XIII tattoo.
