I've been enjoying it. It's a lot more fun to play with friends than with pubbies, but even that has it's moments.

For all the insulting pandering in design and charging for a full game despite having plenty of cosmetic microtransactions that games like DOTA2 and TF2 do with f2p model, Overwatch is a very fun team-based multiplayer shooter and that's really all that matters in the end. But do make sure you're a person who grasps what playing as a team means, otherwise you'll just be one of those sad tossers that lose matches left and right and then blame it on their team, or overpowered enemy heroes, or Blizzard forcing some elusive win-rate ration, or elo hell, or whatever else these people come up with. Characters are unique, they have special abilities that make them even more so, there are good maps(with exceptions of course) and it always keeps a high pace going.

Sure, there's a lot of luck involved with your pick of teammates and the whole Attack/Defense thing, but most of the people complaining about forced 50 are the shitty Genji and Hanzo players that drag their team down. How you perform on your team, even if it's a team of shitters, will reflect on your win/lose ratio since it motivates your team to do better. I've seen it myself. But every other fighting game provides something more appealing than SF: GG and BB have speed, VF and KoF have technicality, SC and Tekken have 3d mobility, Smash and DoA have fanservice(different kinds of it), MK has gore, and all of them have much more varied and visually interesting rosters of fighters. There is nothing SF has that stands out but its pro gaming nieche that the series worked up over the years. It's repetitive as fuck, after like 40 hours you just see the same heroes and the same situations over and over, since maps are more or less just linear tunnels with objectives on the way. The game needs another 12 heroes and 10 maps to be fun. Also it's pretty slow-paced (in terms of both damage output and movement) so there isn't really any adrenaline you get from twitch based FPS. Then again I didn't understand how people played tf2 for thousands of hours either so maybe there's something I'm missing.

-Full teams vs Solo queue teams (obviously a full team is going to have an enormous advantage)
-Allowing shitters to quit and thus dropping their entire team down a rank just by leaving

-nobody takes quick games seriously and ranked will always have at least one person who drags down either team

the problem with that is anyone who solo que's and wants a fun match will only be paired with shitters until they magically work their way up in rank
I start out at 59, after my season high of 60 I either lost ranks from disconnects/quits or our team just got out-played. I don't even want to play because my friends list never has a full team on there and there's always going to be one guy who doesn't care about rank in your team
