Have you ever been to Japan or watched Japanese television that isn't anime? There's English everywhere.
Whenever someone says they want to learn Japanese, I always half-joke that there's 4 alphabets they have 4 alphabets they have to learn be able to read modern Japanese: hiragana, katakana, kanji, and latin
English is not my birth language, but I still think mostly in english.

>There's English everywhere.
You mean borrow words and broken English for the tourists?
Japan doesn't actually rank that well for real English, especially given their human development index.

What's your first?
How do you think in another language? I have trouble doing it and end up translating myself when I talk in another language.

But two yakuza princes would be highly educated, enough to know English fluently for foreign business.

I've watched lots of Japanese television and news reports. That shit they speak for international news broadcasts is barely English, given how much asian localization of terms they use. And even then, I barely ever see them use it to begin with. It still makes about as much sense as me speaking English to all my friends, despite us being Norwegian and having no immigrants hanging out with us.

Download the Japanese version if you want them speaking Japanese.
>nips speak japanese
>germans speak german
>chinese or whatever speaks chinese
>swede doesn't say a single word of swedish
I'm offended

>tfw you try to express something irl but you can only find the right words in burguerspeak
Fuck Roman Reigns and fuck the Xbox Slim

I'm not autistic enough to be a weeb.
Is it weird that at first glance I thought Genji was the bad guy? He just seemed like an edgy evil ninja to me.
> get assburgers over two japanese people knowing English
> energy manipulation, mini black holes, sentient AI, cyborg ninjas, high noon Clint Marston in the 21st century, and a talking gorilla scientist.
Hi /v/! Don't forget to take your meds today

Glad that you guys are becoming American.
The whole world will speak American and be American. AMERICA!
We don't speak that "english" shit here.

Because Blizzard knows that most of its audience doesn't know Japanese, so the meaning would be loss on them.

>Americans invented English

Are you talking about English text? While their written English terms seem alright, at least compared to Korea's, most of the time, their spoken English is pretty terrible. Seriously, the best English I saw from Japanese tv was on an NHK World news program, and even then, it was worse than the Korean English I heard on fucking Tekken Crash.
>>343787846
If there's one thing English is good at, it's mixing and matching words and concepts into a hodgepodge able to express lots of things.
>>343787901
You know that more people than weeaboos learn Japanese, right? You don't think that expats or American soldiers give a shit about anime most of the time, do you?
>>343787839
Blizz is too lazy to find a Swedish speaker. Meanwhile, German is at least taught in some schools, so you're a bit more likely to hear it in the U.S.. Chinese have lots of immigrants in the U.S. and Canada and Japanese is a meme language that lots of foreigners learn since America has bases there.

Why can't cowboys exist in the future? At least he has a shiny future revolver and not just the old kind.that lacks blue bullets.

>the Brazilian sounds like a typical American black guy

That's because he's fascinated with the D.J. culture and probably learned his English from traveling around with them. I've seen this happen before. There was an exchange student in my class and he eventually began talking like a nigger because he hung out with those guys too much.
>>343787621
Not 343787087, but after a while it just comes naturally. For English is even easier because of all the media that you end up comsuming.
>>343785494
Sounds about right. They speak English around their betters.
>>343788086
>Americans invented English
They didn't invented, they just made it relevant.
>>343787839
That is one of the things that annoy me the most.
Why do so many heroes have a thick accent or straight out voice lines in their native tongue while others don't?
Torbjörn is ok, atleast they tried giving him a light accent but Lucio is the worst offender.
He's supposed to be a BR freedom fighter but sounds like a fucking burger.

Half of the world spoke English due to British influeence. Just look at how big the Anglosphere is and how many colonies had when England was the ruler of the world. India, Australia, and many parts of Africa all spoke English because of colonization. People like Christopher Columbus were forced to learn the Queen's English because they wanted to do business with us.
>>343788701
My biggest issue since I really don't have anyone to talk to in the language is I end up over thinking and using the wrong words. I'll use essentially too formal of the word or skip a letter.
>>343789129
Have you taken your medicine yet dad? You know the doctor said that as soon as you start thinking you're relevant, it's time to take another dose, right?
>>343789129
>People like Christopher Columbus were forced to learn the Queen's English because they wanted to do business with us.
Actually, I believe a simplified mishmash of the Romance languages was the lingua franca at the time. I'm not sure if he knew any English at all.
