What's better, JRPGs or WRPGs, and why.

If you're looking to bait people, you're doing a pretty good job. You're still a fuckboy, though.

too long not gonna read
>>343787035
I may have read this if it wasn't white letters on fucking black screen.

wrpgs usually have better turn based combat
jrpgs are generally better if you want a linear coherent story
wrpgs are generally better if you want to focus on roleplaying and have the overarching story be second to developing your character

I don't like the common aesthetics for jrpg's, and that's the biggest reason I haven't played many.
Japan is superior in every way.
>>343787157
no im not lol, i actually like Westerns more, it was just the first western vs jrpg image i could find
>>343787442
wrpg fans use 90's website design unironically
>>343785023
weaboo faggot detected
>japanese "role playing" game

explain pls thx
>your bait thread gets deleted
>you immediately make another one
>this one will get deleted
>you'll probably just make another

Morrowind is a way better game than FF7 so I guess wrpgs are the clear winner
This bait was better when it had Persona 3 as an example of "deep strategic combat"
They both have shit games and great games. They both have shit aspects and good aspects to them. It really depends on if your a big fan of colourful or gritty games.
Good games. A bad JRPG is as bad as a bad WRPG, a good JRPG is as good as a good WRPG.
>>343787978
the player isn't playing a role, they're simply watching a story unfold unlike games like Ultimas where the main story is like a side note

I think that the WRPG list has slightly higher highs for me, but the JRPG list is more numerous and has a higher average quality imo.
I'm not really sure which I'd pick tbqh.inb4 some autist who thinks "JRPG" or "WRPG" should be considered genres gets triggered
From what I played of JRPGs(Which isn't many), it seems to me that JRPGS are more about experiencing the story rather than change the story like in WRPGS.

Good taste
>>343785023
one is a bit more wacky
the other is a bit more serious
honestly is depends on whether you like action or turn-based combat more than the J or the W.
>>343789362
I kinda consider them to be borderline SRPGs.Also I just really wanted to give them the shout out
>>343789525
Yeah I guess thats alright then. I love those games as well.
