Just started on death march. Overall I like being low on money/healing resources, but this perk, Gourmet, seems OP as fuck. 20 mins of constant health regen. How the fuck was this actually implemented. I can't imagine playing on anything below hard and being able to enjoy the click fest with no strategy.

Lol I enjoyed it tremendously. Granted, I played it so late that bugs were generally fixed, and I got advise how to spec my character so it would be fun to play.
The story was fucking awesome, with many location that I still vividly remember.
They took one of the greatest leaders and schemers that they had built up from the previous two games and turned him into a nutjob that gets killed off in a sidequest. Seriously, Radovid had so much more potential.

The open world itself is shit content wise but looks very good, no other game has wind like that, trees bending and shit, birds flying everywhere, cute foliage. That doesn't change the fact that the game got butchered like crazy, it still hurts to see that pre release gameplay demo, which was 3 times more beautiful and running on a 660ti with HW on.

Witcher senses plays itself. You just turn it on and interact with highlighted objects and Geralt solves the investigation for you.
Fist fights are too easy despite the artificial difficulty HP your opponents get. Most enemies can be taken down by spamming strong attack endlessly.
It's very hard to lose a horse race.

I already posted a few but none were observed, here is one that I encountered recently involving the movement and interaction systems: see pic.
Other problems are issues reminiscent of red dead redemption and mass effect, problems that some may not think are valid or even believe to add to the quality of the game. These issues are the theme park-esque nature of encounters(rarely will you find an encounter in the game that has any depth that can be found "before you are meant to find it" and then the dialogue has so many instances of meanignless choices masqueraded as signficiant (lots of yellow lines that are the same choice, even though it seems like the yellow highlighted choices are meant to be meaningful" I think these reasons alone a enough to condemn the game.
Reasons for it being a good game are really only its portrayal of european folklore and some of the stories it tells in the game. But that just makes it a good movie, or tv series. Its for sure a better tv series than Wiedzman.
Gwent is the best thing about the game. There are many other flaws but really, if you can't see them just by playing then you are a silly fellow that probably like mass effect and Red dead redemption.

Oils are just extra menu work. There's never a reason not to use them as you can go back into the menu to reapply the same oil when your charges run out. Oils should've been limited like potions are.

Just played through W1 recently, I enjoyed it, but the areas weren't really that amazing to me. First chapter area was pretty plain, Vizima was kind of interesting, anything with swamps fucking sucked, lot of same feeling caves, chapter 4 was kind of pretty, the ice area with the grandmaster was neat.
