With good aim he is easily the best mid-ranged damage in the game, flashbang is at least one free headshot, and a free headshot into fan still kills most people.

This is objectively false.
Going by optimal dps even Zenyatta beats out Mccree, and unlike Zenyatta, Mccree's damage falls off to 50% at long range.

Soldier 76 shits on him at mid plus range, reaper has him beat close range in dps, plus sol and reap have ok escape mechanisms. Mcree literally has his wombo combo as his only means of effectiveness, and now that it's so bad it has a chance to leave a reaper alive he's awful and only good for his silky voice and occasional pocket sand to help someone else.
dad 76 is leagues better at midrange combat.
