It was very good. It may not have been better than 999 of course, but it's on par with VLR.
I initially gave it a rating of 8/10, but after playing it again in Japanese (better than the somewhat cheesy English voice acting) and knowing that all the clues leading to the ending are there, I gave it a 9/10.
You know a game is awesome when you can still talk about it days after. This is one of those games.

best theme too bad they ruined it a bit
>>343770224
Okay, any suggestions to improve?
>>343770365
Cool. Are there a lot of clues leading to the ending in vlr too? With these story driven games I always wonder how much of the mistery they can hide in the prequel if they write them one at a time. I'll probably play vlr again after playing this one.
>>343770481
Sorry, that was kind of vague, I meant to say, for which console you should buy this game
>>343770874
I'm kind of pissed at Aksys and Amazon. They really dropped the ball on that.
>>343770796
From the trailer, junpei's involvement still seems pretty interesting to me. He seems so cocky in it, saying he's not the action hero anymore and shit. It makes it seem like he already knows what is going to happen. And well, maybe he does, just like young akane knows the future in details at the end of vlr. But those are just my thoughts
>>343771976
He mostly just gets jerked around in ZTD though. Doesn't do anything significant except fill in a few plot holes by coincidence.
>>343771450
There are lot of clues in VLR too. This third game is more connected to VLR than to 999 since the first game is more of a stand-alone plot, despite some of the characters in it re-appearing in this third instalment.
>>343771976
>I'm not the trying to be the action hero anymore

i'm not that anon, but those aren't even spoilers, just opinions. He only says how much he enjoyed each character. I guess it also says that q = sean if you look hard enough, but someones name is hardly a spoiler imo.
>>343772889
I just scrolled by that, thank
fully.
>>343771845
Mine won't arrive until July 15th apparently. I don't even know how they fucked up that bad.
>>343772889
What do we even talk about then? Jeez the game's been out a week.

>Zero Time Dillema
Never touched the series before, but significant choices in story always peaks my interest

Uh, alright.>Kill Sigma by accident with the revolver and then proceed to kill myself after cause grief reasons?

I know Im diving into a series on like the fucking 3rd installment, but holy shit I can't wrap my head around the premise. The illusion of "choice" bugs the fuck out of me.
Is this explained at all in the story or is that just how the game is and I should get the fuck out? Im leaning towards getting the fuck out.
>>343774558
It's explained
It's explained better in the games that you skipped
>>343774340
Sigma's portrait is my favorite

This is my first one too and from the plot I'm kind of understanding it has something to do withalternative universes and shit
It's kind of interesting how that story tree ties directly with its plot
>>343774340
What's Junpei's portrait based on?

>>343776492
The unique character portraits are what made me love this game even more.
Love how they added a status/condition menu.
>>343776492

>>343776552
I skipped 999 and still lovrd the fuck out of it. I do like VLR better, though. Junpei is so boring compared to Siggy Reubens.

Good thing I finished ZTD this morning. Sucks for the rest of you though.
>>343777441
jokes on you i shifted before reading your post
Just finished the game.
VLR >> 999 >> ZTD
Eric is legitimately the worst character in the series with no redeeming qualities.
There is one cool twist in the story, but its executed pretty poorly and isn't explored very well. Game doesn't really explain much even with the expository cards you unlock. The only decent ending is the one that leads toVLR, all the other endings don't make fucking sense. Especially the last one.
HUGE Spoiler Warning, don't even hover if you haven't finishedThe last ending, the decision game doesn't happen. So... Delta and Phi are never born or sent back in time meaning they can't exist. Nevermind the fact that with that ending the AB game never happens meaning Sigma and Phi's consciousness could not have been sent back. At least with the canon endings in 999 and VLR they made causal sense, this is just loose ending shit.
Although I still feel like I'm missing a few key points even though I don't see any more story to play through or read. What's with Gab? What is the snail that Delta keeps referring to? Who is the terrorist that initiates the extinction of humans? Why can't we choose whether or not to kill Delta at the end? Where the fuck did Sean, Mira, and Eric teleport to after breaking out of jail?
I loved Zero Time Dilemma, but my mistake was to play it in English. I could have had a better experience playing through it with the Japanese voices.
Finished the game, but there's one thing I don't understand, and it has to do with the ending of VLR.
Where the fuck isKyle?
>>343777882I always believed the snail to be either Delta or Mira. Delta maybe because he was the true 4th participant of the 9 or Mira because her presence changes the outcomes of things.
>>343777882snail is Kyle, read the epilogue notes
>>343778352Which one? I don't remember reading a reference to Kyle.
>>343778036
I think the concept of Kyle was dropped before they decided to cancel the game. I suppose they could have decided to bring him back years later when they decided to finally make ZTD. I'm just going to guess that Uchikoshi had new ideas between those times~
>>343778036
He'sGab
>>343778478snail parasite
>>343778352Oh crap, I was an idiot.
My copy came in from Amazon yesterday. Haven't played it yet. waiting for the right moment.
> There are still people who don't realise the value of not spelling everything out and leaving some things open to player interpretation.
I'm not talking about Kyle, theories aside, he's probably a just a dropped character/concept.> Tfw these threads are dying.
>>343778759
My copy is still in limbo.
>unlock robot's name
>everyone has always called him by his name
No, fuck you and fuck this game. You mean to tell me thatDelta/"Q"was there the WHOLE time with no one ever saying ANYTHING. What a fucking shoehorn. And don't give me any bullshit about hismind hack abilitybeing the cause.
>>343779000
>000
>>343777882
Won'tSigma and Phi's consciousnesses come back anyway? If we go by 999's logic where Junpei saves young Akane while the future is still undetermined, Sigma and Phi should be able to re-enter their bodies even in the "8 billion saved" timeline, they just need to simulate the events of VLR 45 years later so they won't step into and infinite loop. Isn't that how it works? Or is the future of every timeline already determined?
>>343779181
>This timeline sucks.
>This team can't solve puzzles for shit.
Well it's not my fault that you decided to make bullshit time-consuming piece rotating puzzles for every single fucking team. I'll give you some credit for not making them dice, but it's still fucking terrible.
>>343779392
I've yet to find a single scene that contradicts that claim.
The members of Q team very rarely actually use the names Q/Sean.
>>343779614
The only puzzle that was an actual pain for me was in the healing room with the leaf->bud->flower shit. Just brute forced that bullshit.
>>343777882>Phi and Delta don't exist
They do because they were sent to every possible timeline before these including ones where they wouldn't be created a second time to be sent into the past. That goes for all timelines where they do play the game and Siggy and Dianna don't fuck.
>>343779836
You are right, that is confirmed within the files/notes that you get post-game.
>>343780274
>>343779931
Ok, I see what you're saying. So
>SHIFTing only affects one timeline
>Teleporting affects all timelines
Since Phi and Delta are teleported to the past for all timelines so they exist in all timelines, why doesn't Sigma and Diana or Junpei and Akane get teleported to all the other timelines?
>>343780473
As Sigma said, you canchoose specific timeline to jump to. But, asDelta and Phi jumped before any of the branching occured, they're in all timelines.
But then there's a question:Carlos should've been in each timeline too, but I think it's just an oversight and gives him a really cool scene.
>>343780406Seeing Diana push the button to Sigma and Phi's surprise was really cute.
>>343780718
Yeah you're right there should be two Carlos' everywhere
>>343780992
So that's how he cured his sister, with 2 times the amount of oniichans!
>>343780718
>>343780992
>>343781291
Not necessarily.Didn't Carlos jump to a specific timeline? Phi and Delta jumped to before the branches so they'd be in all. Carlos didn't so would only appear in the one he specified.I could be wrong though.
>>343781638
He jumped to 10 months before ZTD starts. If he exists in one branch he should exist in the others.
>>343781638
Pretty sure thatin order to save Junpei and Akane after they teleported he teleported to before the decision game started. Is there some point in the past that teleporting to before affects all timelines while teleporting to after that point only affects one?
>>343770874
Same here. My VLR copy last year came a day late from Amazon, but this is ridiculous.
>>343781991
I keep hearing 10 months before, but how the hell would Carlos 2 get into the game without raising suspicion from Zero?
>>343783137
He didn't, he comes after the game is over. Who knows what the fuck happens after they find his dead body in the facility in that ending though.
>>343783137
He doesn't enter the game. That's always Carlos 1. In the one timeline we see Carlos 2 the game is already over when he blows his way into the bunker.
>>343783275
What does 10 month Carlos do when he sees coin toss winning Carlos?
>>343783275
>>343783423
Right, right. Sorry. Forgot that part. Too much for me to remember.

So what does Brother do in this timeline?
still waiting for my copy from amazon, already finished the game, had to download the .CIAif I already paid is not piracy right?
>>343783496
He continues to wait. So he can have his big entrancein one timeline only though. In the others he keeps waiting forever for some reason.
>>343783602
If you really bought it, it's fine.
>>343780406
>Push the button first
>It's da bomb
>Go back and do nothing
>Sigma: "What if there's a bomb counting down and this button is the only way to stop it, we need to press it!"
Had to good chuckle.
>>343783546
This is the best thing ever.
>>343783602
I feel it's justified if you didn't cancel. I just bought the PC version for those bonuses too and didn't cancel the Vita pre-orderbecause of the watch bonus
>>343771450
PC. It's not intensive at all, even toasters can run it
>>343768436
It was enjoyable, I thought the cinematic shift was a neat change of pace. I was expecting more of the same from VLR so I was happy. D-Team had the best scenes.
The twist was poorly handled but I like the antagonist and their motives.
I finally figured out why the puzzles felt lack-luster
There's no "Final Boss" puzzle room. 999 had at the library in the true path. VLR had the Q room.
There should have been a puzzle room that opened when you finished the force quit box. Something that mixed together all other puzzles in the game together.
Though, I wouldn't be surprised if this game got rushed.
