execution is more than half the "get gud" of fighting games. if your fingers dont move fast enough then it doesn't matter how much you know about how to play a character.

Like either gauge if you have enough charge time or properly use a shoryuken to beat a jumping for example.
Advice is stick personally but you will need to put time into execution because i guarantee you you won't be able to do basic shit. A basic controller that isn't a 360 with a quality d-pad is more than enough.
Just remember it's an investment like anything , you don't need the best , a qanba q1 is like 60 bucks , cheaper for a good controller.
