In all honesty, it's disappointing.
You only get to choose one waifu, and after the two of youdo the sex, your generations character, along with their waifu and the other two characters, whom you've probably annoyed by saying that you're not interested in them pretty much get sacrificed to a giant tower.
And the combat is NOT fun. Seriously.
But I dunno, you might enjoy it.

I say this as an avid buyer of weeb stuff on Steam.
The Neptunia games are enjoyable despite being mediocre. They're a mellow experience that might be dull, but is easy to lose yourself in.
Agarest is nothing like that.
It is an atrociously slow and painful experience that will see you quitting less than an hour in.
Where Neptunia is a mediocre RPG, Agarest is an unplayable one.

And as someone who played the first one all the way through its every standard JRPG trope. The gameplay is solid but gets repetitive after a while. If its cheap and you like JRPGs then pick it up because it isn't the worst one ever. Also you do in fact get to fuck the sylph and make her brother watch your son like a cuck

That was the thing that really killed it. The female characters just felt lifeless. You could struggle through the grind it if there actually was something to struggle towards, but there just isn't any reason to go on.
So, what's the verdict? Don't buy, don't play, just look at porn of the girls instead?

I played it because I wanted tolovethat elf.
Made it to the part where I finally married her, then the characters all got swapped out and I quit.
It's not good, the art was what kept me going.
And the crafting system is shit as well. Game's fun for about an hour, or maybe one act or something, at most. Pirate and see for yourself.
