Sword and board? Dickass theif? Mana motherfucker? What do you gravitate to?

Magic user turned paladin, yo.
Whatever has traps and field control. Usually dickass thief, but magic traps can be good too. Fighter if a trap/floor based class isn't available; vanilla thief/mage shit is boring.
I've found that when available, "Engineer" tends to be my favorite class in most games.
I don't. I don't use my ego as inspiration for what fictional character I'm going to portray in a video game. I've been gravitating toward light/no armour holy magic users though in a DS2 playthrough because it's probably the most hipster thing you can do at the moment.

>Not a fighter with magic turned paladin
Unless you want to flame dart the earth elemental to death.

Quest For Glory 3 is such wasted potential.
>>343698886
Mana motherfucker usually
Possibly fighter if it's an ARPG and the combat isn't shit

If it's one only, then Thief.
If there's hybrids/multiclass/whatever, then Fighter-Magic User.
Give me a two handed weapon and a spin move and I'll take it all day long. Let me take as much damage as I can deal.
Dragon's Dogma has the best version of this. You sword actually has weight, and connecting Arc of Deliverance is second to none.

You shut your whore mouth. 3 is my favorite, unless I'm doing a thief playthrough.
3>1=4>>2>>>>>>>>>>>5
Always

Damn, dude. You might be the only one who rates 3 that high.
I still like 3, it just didn't use its setting well. Plus the enemies were so generic.
4=1>2>>3
I try to forget 5 exists.

Sword and Board for first playthoughs since its usually the simplest, magic, and then if I really like the game thief. But I don't like playing stealth characters in non-stealth games.
If the rogue build is like a speedy/poision/bombs/bow+arrow/dick ass thief then rogue all day. I love going fast and shooting shit from far away.
If the rogue is some bullshit edgy vampire blood dagger shadow assasin I go with whatever class looks fun I guess. Does anyone else know this feel?

Magic thief is true patrician's taste. Never get hit and always find a clever solution to a problem with the help of a little magic. Class purists a shit.

I liked the scope of it. While the other three were a lot more intimate, something about having to stop three cultures from destroying each other felt super heroic.

>Magic thief is true patrician's taste.
I prefer sneaky mage.
>>343698886
Gunner > the rest classes.

Any mixture of magic user and another one. Plain old mage is not nearly as versatile as it seems.
