>“I think personally Star Fox is a really fun game if you sit down a play it. I think, for example, an elementary school kid who plays it without any preconceived notions, I think it would be really fun for them. I think it’s also really, really fun for siblings to play it together.”

As much as I despise Nintendo, I think it's great that someone still cares for the children.
I love the man but he's washed up and out of touch.

Same. I think he's a good guiding influence but right now he has a bit too much control. It's great he still wants family friendly games where people can play together instead of having all multiplayer be online only and everything be edgy and grimdark. But like... wow, he's become a parody of himself or something. He needs to slow down or move to the sides and take on a supporting role instead.

People think he's like, doing shit. He's literally only done the new Star Fox, the first thing he's done in years.

>I love the man but he's washed up and out of touch.
I don't think he's out of touch, the article >>343688123 linked kind of shows it:

>“Pikmin is the kind of game that you have to play maybe three times to get the full effect, but you know, people don’t have a lot of time, so they just clear the stage and just move on. Games are becoming more of a consumable product, and it’s getting harder and harder for people to let a game to sink in and enjoy leisurely.”
I think Miyamoto knows what up, it's just the type of games he wants to make are good but they're just aren't in-vogue anymore. To be honest I would hate if Pikmin 3 was made with modern trends in mind.
Whereas Star Fox could never have be mainstream again simply due to the state of its genre. It's not like there's a bunch of in-touch devs making AAA rail shooters and selling 4 million+.
