He was an asshole to the Death Corps but they were literal terrorists who wanted him dead. As for him killing Teta, yes that sucks, but you have to realize that he didn't even know her whatsoever, unlike Zolbag who knew her perfectly well and yet thought so little of her despite that he didn't even hesitate to have her killed. In Algus's perspective she was simply some random girl who is unfortunate enough to be in the way of a terrorist. Zolbag is the real scumbag, not Algus. Algus was simply following orders.
