This. I loved grinding in MGSV and dragons crown.
I feel like I would enjoy grinding a lot more under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Usually when I play a JRPG I find a good spot at the beginning, grind for about a week, and then blaze through as much of the game as possible before repeating it when I get to a part where I'm evenly leveled with the enemies.
