After 13 years or so there's finally emu server for this so it's cool, but for long time this game was out of the picture
I kind of miss this even though the game/series is terrible

It's been a decade and still no one has thought to copy the idea of a small MMO hub world with the real meat of the game in instanced areas you portal into with groups you met in the hub world.
Granted, 3D Diablo hack n' slash combat was a fucking terrible idea and reusing the same tileset for literally every map was even worse but goddamn this game was ahead of its time in overall design.

EVE is made by other company, nothing to do with EnB, EnB was also released much earlier. EA decided it'd be good to start developing Sims Online, spend all money on that instead of advertising EnB. EVE had nothing to do with EnB's decline because unlike EVE, EnB was (and still is on emu) more fun than EVE ever will be.
