This opinion is awful. Story is easily the least important part of a game and though a good narrative can easily enhance a game, it's probably the last thing I really look for in a game.
Not to mention 90% of the time whenever a dev focuses on story when making a game, the story turns out to be trash anyway.

Not him, I'm not underage myself but there's no reason to call the first generation the best. Except maybe the music, even Gen III is automatically better by default since FR/LG are flat out better in every other way. You can't argue otherwise, it's less broken.
Each Pokemon game adds improvements upon its predecessor--while some are removed from title to title. Gen II was basically purely additions, so there's no reason to think that also wouldn't be automatically better than Gen I other than nostalgia, not that it's perfect. The one thing that was removed was the Safari Zone.
I bought Red on VC after not having played it in like a decade, it's really a splash of cold water.

I'm 19, played all generations in order with the exception of Gen III, which I played after IV, and VI, which I skipped because of the lack of Z, after hearing how underwhelming X and Y were.

If you are referring to the Pokemon designs, that's primarily subjective, but anyway, FR/LG feature, with the exception of Pikachu, essentially the same exact designs with some Pokemon from newer generations thrown in as well.
If you're referring to music, while Gen I had great music and some subsequent remixes (i.e., those of Gen III) butchered it, plenty of other Pokemon games also have good music. This is the one respect in which I feel Gen I trumps its remakes.
