apparently 643D succeeded somewhere for Nintendo's pleasure, got a 81% reception close to Adventures' and 64's, and granted Miyamoto to finally develop the Wii prototype into Zero.
sure game got it's flaws and mediocre receptionscrollshooter sections/star wolf fights were top notch, setting the series into another long decade wait again, but how the game came to be pretty much shows Nintendo can bring back a game/series with a remake/remaster.

As far as I can tell, it also will function as it's own "emulator". Basically, it'll play Paper Mario and all the romhacks, but won't be able to play anything else. The guy is making it specifically for Paper Mario, so he's gotta have worked out all the kinks of emulating that one game.

SPM was still a hell of a lot better than SS's joke of a story. It almost feels like those shitty RPG maker Mario fangames, only this actually has an AAA budget.
The thing I liked about the games were partners and how they were interesting takes on classic enemies. Super Paper Mario had weapons... with no dialogue after them joining your party. Why is it so hard to have proper partners nowadays?

Maybe if you're twelve. Sticker Star's story is simple but coherent. Super Paper Mario's is trash which is at odds with the tone of the rest of the game, delivered in huge quantities despite being shallow.
Color Splash atleast shows Intelligent Systems have their priorites right since after defeating a boss the game doesn't cut to the villains stood static in one room gloating about how evil their plan is.
