Beautiful in what sense?

Gotta admit. Transistor was a pretty good game. A solid 8/10
I honestly don't remember much about the story, but the art was great and the gameplay was great.

Thank god for the visual cause christ that game is boring.

There's some beauty beneath the simplicity and ruins. It's not all visual. The solemn sense of loneliness and slow burn dread also contributed. It's not traditionally beautiful, but there's setting special lying behind the completely package. Ueda likes to play dumb and act like common themes his art invokes isn't intentional, but that pretentious nip knows exactly what he's doing.

I dunno, im about 20 minutes in and I'm not really enjoying it, does it change drastically at any point?

>im about 20 minutes in and I'm not really enjoying it,
It's probably not for you, If you're not enjoying the music and visuals by now
>>343594173
I got bored very quickly with the previous games, whatever it was called. Same situation, 20 minutes in and I didn't give a shit about anything within it, plus I hated the narration going on.
Maybe they both take a while to get going?

They're both pretty short and a what you see is what you get beginning. Transistors layers on some game play elements but if you're not hooked on the narration, visuals and music it'll be a pretty mediocre game on game play alone.
I loved it but it's definitely a mood setting game so it's not for everyone.
