Well, it's what I did. I'm casual as hell now and 25 years old. Even going back to play some of the flash games I liked as a kid wasn't much fun. They were frustrating bullshit.

I'm 29 and I'm better than I've ever been.
Only thing I lost along the way was Ragnarok Online PVP chops, though if I played the game on a regular basis I could probably be just as good as I was.

Man, the standards of what qualifies as "casual" has changed a lot.
I thought I was a casual for playing free puzzle games on my Android smartphone. I must be some kind of turbo ultranigger casual now, if Witcher qualifies as casual.
Pretty easy, especially when a job and other shit life throws at you starts to really take away from your time- you have less time to game, and you want that time to be enjoyable.

I've never had a Hank Hill moment where I never stood a chance because of all my damn old. I fuck up in PvP and I just recognize where I made a mistake or what I need to bone up on.
Non-PvP? imo vidya has become easier on average but it isn't that hard to find gems that'll kick your ass. I have a lot less patience for stupid bullshit though. Bad RNG or too much grinding just makes me drop the game. But the average AAA title these days is almost impossible to be bad at.

This. I usually prefer my SoL with all girls, but for some reason the cast of Love Lab goes from good to fucking amazing any time they interact with the opposite sex.
It reminds me of when I used to watch/read tons of Shoujo to see cute girls getting flustered over boys, but then eventually dropped the entire genre because it would inevitably devolve into terrible forced drama and/or reverse harem shit.
The author is perfect at keeping things fun and interesting without making any stupid drama.
