I haven't played the quest but I remember Doom RPG which was a single character turn based RPG being tough. It was focused on ammo conservation and positioning though.

Has anyone here played Dwarf Run? I see it get shilled on RPGcodex and it seems like a somewhat fun dungeon crawl/point and click game.

8 is the fan favorite, and just overall praised by RPG fans. You should get the bundle though because it's a preddy good deal. Can't go wrong with Wiz'.

I could never get into Grimrock because it's controls. I think I just prefer turn based. I always screwed up attacking in Grimrock
