Bought this in the steam sale a few days ago and just beat it.
Haven't had as many feels since TWD season 1. I thought it'd be shitty after the first episode, but the rest really bring it to another level.
>>343570048
this game looks gay
is it that ultra feminist one where she hates men and accidentally shoots herself or whatever
>>343570212
I thought it looked pretty gay too. Of course, I'm on /v/ so that didn't stop me. It's really not very feminist-y though.
>>343570048
Found it to be horribly underwhelming.
>>343571027
I thought the twist about the criminal was pretty interesting and didn't see it coming.
>you'll never 4get the horror
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prGptG5Ex1g
It was a good ride
>>343570212
The game does look pretty gay and has that "made only for tumblrinas" sort of vibe. But there's actually zero feminist messages, it's just a "teenager investigating shit" type of story, with a time-rewind gimmick.
please tell me you guys picked the correct ending
>>343573351
You mean Bay? Of course I did. Fuck that lesbo dyke, Warren is the only man for Max.
>>343573351
Killed her the only good ending
>>343573327
You make it sound better than what it is, the investigation's only there for chapters 2 and 3. Chapter 1 is a boring waste of time and Chapter 4 is sort of a clusterfuck.
>>343573727
chapter 5 is the true clusterfuck
but I enjoyed every second of it
even the impromptu stealth segment
>>343573351
Yes. I picked none.
This shit actually had potential to go into some really interesting places. It's a shame it just settled with being The Butterfly Effect lite.
>tfw Kate
>she's on the ledge
>I start trying to talk her down, but she jumps
>"oh well. guess that was meant to happen. Walking Dead had a lot of shit like that."
>Get to choices screen
>"Did you save Kate?
Fucked me up for a bit. Also Obstacles is god tier Life is Strange song

stupid gun
I thought it was a really good game. The story was well written, the soundtrack was great.
>>343572163
It was fairly obvious, but it could've been even better if he knew about the powers. It explains why he rapenaps her instead of just killing her like her friend.
>>343572163
A friend of mine was super shocked by it which baffled me since he seemed like a sleazy fucker from the get go.
>>343576204
>>343575402
Really? I mean, I knew Chloe's dad would probably be the hero, but I honestly expected them to keep Nathan as the villain (or go completely left-field and set up Samuel).
I hate this type of cinematic "games" made by people that hate video games and who would prefer to direct shitty movies. It also seemed degenerate friendly so that's another strike.
Also Remember Me was a bad game. So, I have ZERO interest in playing this crap.
>>343575402
>It explains why he rapenaps her instead of just killing her like her friend.
But that was explained
>>343573327
And terrible, terrible dialog. Don't forget the terrible, terrible dialog.
I kinda liked it, but scenes that were supposed to be heavy came out flat. Oh, and the dialogue between Max and Chloe is terrible
So what happened? I'm never gonna play this game so spoil me up senpai
>>343576893
Max (player character) finds out she has time travel powers and uses it multiple times to save her bff/love interest Chloe from dying. This causes nature to go apeshit and eventually destroy the town you go to school in. At the end you decide to either save the entire town but sacrifice Chloe or sacrifice the town to save Chloe. Oh and there's also a sidestory about how your teacher is a murderer
>>343577412
sounds like an OK movie
>>343576567
Of course, that too. I know that it's easy to misunderstand how teenagers actually talk when you are already past that age, but Jesus Christ.
>"Wow, you're hardcore!
>"Amazeballs!
>"Hella"
And the one that haunts me to this day:
>"We totally smacked his punk ass down, Max That was an epic win."
>>343577707
And that's the problem with these type of games: they're derivative of better work from other media.
>>343576893
the teacher is the killer
>>343578032
>tfw I say hella all the time
>>343570048
did you like reaching the end and not having any of your choices matter, did you enjoy having to care about some piece of shit blue haired forced lesbian romance . did you enjoy max's inability and your lack of choice to let chloe fuck off
>>343578078
This. There is absolutely no reason for "Life is Strange" to be a videogame, the interactions are of so little consequence to the whole thing that the role of the player is minimal.
>>343573493
>Fuck that lesbo dyke, Warren is the only man for Max.
Both Warren and Chloe are terrible options.
people say hella all the time where I'm at why does hella get /v/'s panties in a knot?
>>343578915
/v/ gets upset at everything
>>343578541
Yep, zero replayability. A death sentence for any game. Only trophy hunters are excused to replay shit games like this one. Whoever else replays this dreck should definitely change his hobby.
>>343578716
This
Kate or nothing at all
>>343578730
I literally cannot tell if that's real or animated
>>343579076
>>343579001
>>343578915
I'm not really sure, but the character from this game that's constantly spamming it along with a bunch of nonsense is pretty annoying and infuriating, so maybe there's an unevitable connection to draw between the word and something annoying.
>>343578730
Is that a dick?
i wish you could browse more of the webpages that you saw on powered on laptops all around the game
just seeing a practically cropped screenshot of a webpage whenever i interact with a computer isnt exactly my cup of tea nor does it explain much
would have been really nice, to know what else is going on in the campus and shit
chapter 1 is shit
2 is okay
3 and up shit gets so fucking tense and real, best parts for sure
>>343579559
ride for my niggas
die for my niggas
>>343579434
>>343570212
yes, the one, single feminist in the game who speaks out against men constantly fucks up and kills herself through her own stupidity.
>>343573727
chapter 5 was the cluster fuck and it ruined the entire game.
>>343580060
Haven't played but I dislike women and enjoy when they fuck up. How did it ruin the game?
>>343579728
wew my edit from SFM is actually being posted in LiS threads
I feel so giddy

Post moreMarshfield
>>343570048
Same, it's pretty good imho
>mfw getting a text from Pompidou
>>343570212
Looks a lot like that to be honest. Despite the predictable (but good) ending, Its not that preachy. Not like the new mirror's edge or something like that. People are gay, but they arent the majority and there aren't any gay "themes", just gay people.
ending was shit. they made something nice and then they fucked up at the end
>>343580625
To me, it's just the point where they throw everything out of the window.
Are there things and mysteries that you thought were going to be explained? Nope, you'll just sit through a linear sequence of forced events and will be prompted to choose between 2 endings right at the end.
>>343581787
The ending, though predictable, makes sense with the major themes of the plot, and is probably not the first ending I would choose but is definitely serviceable.
I thought it was pretty good too. As far as these telltale-esque games go, it at least had a mechanic that got some clever use. Had a nice comfy aesthetic and the story was engaging. Not sure how I feel about them doing a sequel, I don't think it needs it.
>>343581230
Sadly I gave up the SFM game awhile ago.
But this used to be my tumblr;

I like your work anon

>>343570048
Thought the ending would be morelike a rape dungeon, got all excited when jefferson showed up with a camera and thought about how max was going to be tortured and raped to death just like that previous missing girl and burst out laughing when it was all just a FUCKIN PHOTOSHOOTThe 2 endings was okay, though could've elaborated more on the one where max rips the photo
>>343581961
Well, the whole rewinding-time mechanic was essentially integrating savescumming into the game and plot, not really sure if that's actually creative or just lazy and uninspired.
I did like what the story was promising to be up to chapter 5 and it was a pretty comfy ride. Maybe they can just go for a completely different set up, with very different characters and a different "weird ability" for the main character to use if they actually go for a sequel.
>>343582320
God, no.
>>343582524
>savescumming
Not really. Most of the consequences aren't immediately apparent and you can't rewind past a certain point.
>>343582132
Thanks, anon. Wish I got more of that appreciation when I used to do it.
>>343582952
If I had only found your work earlier...
>>343582360Yeah, I agree on how the "kill chloe" ending was pretty rushed. Would have been nice to walk one final time around town after things settled to see how everybody was doing. I guess they really wanted a cinematic sequence to go along with the full lenght of Spanish Sahara.
