Statistically speaking, 5 years

Delay this by eating a lot of fatty fish, ideally salmon, which contains the correct fats to feed your decaying nerves.

Avoid tuna though, way too much mercury. Did you know pregnant women aren't supposed to eat tuna at all because of the high ethyl mercury they get from eating smaller mercury-collectant fishes?

>jet fighter tier
Jet fighter for what? This kind of reaction is useless everywhere except for maybe PRESS X WHEN GREEN game moments
>>
>>343564229
>This kind of reaction is useless everywhere

1/10, made me reply
>>
>>343564229
anon, having a good 'press x when green' reaction means your nerves are effectively wired. you don't have different types of reaction times to different things.

your auditory reaction time is about 30ms lower than your visual reaction time, for instance, but 'press x when green' will accurately tell you how fast your reactions are. the air force test for USA and Germany pilots is essentially a 'press x when green' test too, except not green.

http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a178485.pdf "Visual Acuity and Reaction Time in Navy Fighter Pilots"

>The simple visual reaction time test required subjects to respond by pressing
the joystick at the appearance of a supra-threshold spot stimulus.

>Simple reaction times ranged from 143 to 461 msec, with a mean of 223 msec (SD = 0.055).

kinda funny that some of the people in this thread react faster than jet pilots. i guess vidya really is good training
although jet pilots probably are selected more on their discipline level, these days, since dogfighting is now more about loosing missiles at the correct time, when the enemy is so far away they can't even be seen outside of radar

As long as you're a large person eating one tin of tuna per day, and it's light tuna instead of albacore (important - albacore has 7x the ethyl mercury level) you should be okay.

Some people think mercury poisoning in non-immediately-lethal amounts isn't a huge deal, because current testing indicates that trace mercury biocollects in your bones and becomes neutralized ie. not capable of interacting with tissues.

Earlier this week I upgraded to a really good PC for the first time in 10 years, was on a 60hz monitor and crappy mouse

Went from average 270 reaction time on this site to this. Feels good man. g402/benq 2720z

Playing FPS with stable 200+fps at 144hz is fucking incredible, I feel like a hacker
>>
>>343568897
Yes, but reaction times don't directly relate to performance, it's definitely a edge over the competition, but hand-eye coordination is the main factor.
You could have a fantastic 100ms response time, but if you cannot get that crosshair to the opponent's head, you're screwed.
I don't think RTSs are very affected by this.
As a fightan player, having average to low reaction times has hurt me plenty, but my hand-eye coordination and muscle memory has got me into the upper 60/70% win rates in most games I played.

it's the panel calculations themselves
TN gaming panels usually have a 'low delay' mode where they disable complex colors in order to get retard-fast input response

Gamers indirectly train themselves to have a quicker the reaction time. If you take a random shopkeeper, they'd probably be in a surprisingly high percentile when testing how quickly they can add and subtract numbers.

Eat less fatty. It worked for me.

I sit down for 12 hours per day, sleep for 10, and I weigh 112 lbs (at 5'2)

After you eat a normal amount of food (for your energy expenditure) level for a duration of one month, it feels totally normal then. You'll be hungry until a month passes but deal with it. I eat one decent sized meal or two small ones per day and it feels totally filling.

diet is vastly more important than exercise, you can only do a certain amount of exercise per day but you can eat as little as you want to get to the right weight (just take vitamins) then eat a moderate amount to stay there

take it from me, eating correctly and being lazy is way, way more fun than eating like a slob and having to exercise hard for hours every day

Depends on the person and it's more important what calories you're taking in when you're just looking at weight. What you actually eat to meet that calorie count will have less of an effect on weight and significantly more on overall health.

That said, having a crap diet in general will make you feel like garbage and not perform as well during exercise. Diet will also affect how quickly you recover and development of muscle.
