The remaster looks unbelievable.
When Bethesda said they were doing a remaster of Skyrim, I thought it was just minor HD enhancements.
No, they're actually remaking this gem from scratch. The game looks entirely different, and it's going to be amazing to replay it.
Bethesda knows what they're doing. Their marketing tactics are stellar.
Instead of announcing Elder Scrolls VI right away, they decided to reflect back on what had already worked for them in the past.
And I am definitely going to buy the Skyrim remaster. I mean, if you love epic role playing games like this, why wouldn't you?
The Skyrim remaster is going to feel like a fresh new game.
I'll go as far as to say that the Skyrim Special Edition has the potential to become one of the very best games of this gen. Skyrim gains new fans every day, and it's a timeless experience

There are a lot of things that are unfixably bad in Skyrim, like z-fighting or shadows in general. I feel like the higher your settings go, the worse the game looks because it was never intended to show things that far away. Fallout 4 did better in those regards, so that's something.

I know that SKSE will need to be updated for any mod that needs that to run, but what about the UESP's or general mods that add new weapons, armours etc.
are they gonna need to be remade or will they work straight away?
UESP is years of dedication by randoms, I doubt they would want to do it again for this HD texture and a yellow hue "remaster"

It can be improved, but that also tends to fuck up other things like disconnecting your player model from its shadow or allowing your camera to clip into objects close to you.
It's also somewhat hardware dependent and can vary wildly even between different cards of the exact same model, so for plenty of people even the tweaks aren't enough.
