A "paradox" is something that can't be true, yet must be true. For example, in the grandfather paradox, if I go back in time and kill my own grandfather, I can't exist, yet I must exist, because I have to go back in time and kill my grandfather in order for me not to exist. Therefore, my existence is paradoxical.
In this bootstrap "paradox" (not actually a paradox), Delta must exist in order for himself to exist, and quite clearly does exist. Therefore, there is no paradox, no contradiction.

Finished it last night, pretty good. I'm sad to say it was my first Zero Escape game, so I felt like the stuff with Junpei, Akane, Sigma and Phi were lost on me, but otherwise it was a pretty great ride. I'll be honest, when I had to call out who Zero really was I was heading into the choice like "Fucking shit I have no clue oh fuck" and then the answer just came to me in a split second, like an epiphany. Made me chuckle considering all the SHIFTing talk.
Green team was pretty boring aside from the kid.

Plus, it doesn't seem possible for the loop to start, because Delta is required to run the Decision Game which leads to his own birth. Honestly they can't be expecting much more thant that at this point. It's a niche VN with no prequels on PC, almost no marketing, released during the Steam Summer Sales for $40.
Comparing to the total of owners for both DR games at a lower pricepoint long after release and going through discounts, I doubt Spike Chunsoft would expect much more right now.

what am I missing lads? Phi was my favourite character in VLR and one of the most exciting mysteries for ZTD to address but I feel like she was barely even in this game. I want to like her but it's difficult:
