He's the games glass cannon.
Decent healing through harmony orbs, and discord orb (an enemy with Discord Orb will take 50% more damage as long as it's on, the orb will stay for as long as they're in Zens line of sight + two or three seconds) will help you and your teammates take people out or scare enemies away for a few seconds. Thanks to discord and his consistent, decently strong and high accuracy main weapon, he's really good at taking out tanks from a distance. His ult is fantastic for making a push or saving your team from an ult in a pinch and is the fastest healing in the game, I believe.
His weaknesses are his extremely low 150 HP (tied for lowest in the game with Tracer and Pilot Mode D.va) and complete lack of mobility options. These make him pretty weak to enemies who can pick him off with high damage from range like Widowmaker or Hanzo or anyone who can get in through your team and lay it on you like Reaper or Tracer. Worth noting that 100 of his 150 HP is shields though, which will regen if you stay out of combat. This makes him good for harassing people from cover at long range since he can take a few small hits and back off again.
Unfortunately outside of his ult, his healing is fairly limited. While it's a decent amount at 30 HP/s, it only applies to one team member. Mercy's focused healing is much faster and she can res, while Lucio can heal his entire team at once. Because of this Zen plays best in a team with another heaker, or if a very large portion of your team is able to heal themselves
Worth noting that he has dropped to basically zero usage in tournament play and the developers have said they're looking into him, so expect him to get a buff some time. How they'll buff him I'm not sure because he's not bad - just situational.

I do understand the frustration though, I recently got trapped by a teammate Meis wall.
I make a note of only using it if there are no teammates near me who would be doing something else or if the enemy is making a big push so that I can separate them, and if I hear a teammate has activated an ult that I might be blocking I immediately cancel my wall if I have it out.

I have just recently gotten my stars/prestige and my past few games I have been matched with other star players
Even though I am at a shitty 42 placement rank its a huge fucking difference as everyone has basic game sense and tries to adapt to the situation
I would reccomend leveling up to stars on quickplay cos I lost 11 ranks playing with shitters

I don't understand how people can be so quick to blame specific teammates in this game. Do you follow people around to check up on them to be sure they are doing their job? Some characters would be obvious, but I don't see how you could easily judge characters that are designed to not be grouped up with everyone else. In OP's case, I often see Symmetras blocking off side routes, which would not be immediately obvious to Reinhardt and the people hiding behind his shield at the main entrance.
