If you don't farm the 1 million FM in like 30 minutes they can't see you cheated. I think the only thing stored in their servers is how much FM you gain for a period

None of that information is stored server side with capcom. Time cleared and top rounds is local only. The only notice capcom gets is that the trial was cleared and to deposit the FM and colors.

If you're doing it legit my only advice is that survival becomes a game of patience. Block and punish, and exploit knockdowns.
If you're high on hp, spend your score defense upgrades and if low buy HP. Forget about final score it means nothing.

No. Survival can be done once per character per difficulty. Using a new costumes unlocks new colors but does not get more FM/XP.

I've yet to beat it with Vega. Survival is most easily exploited by dragon punches and cross ups on knockdown, neither of which Vega have.
So far, my strategy has been spamming sweep when the AI is walking towards you, then deep jump heavy kick on knockdown into stand fierce into rolling crystal. It works, but the lack of DP is killer because once the AI is in your face, it's impossible to stop it
I downloaded the story mode from steam, got the 8 gb update, got the 1.04 (?) patch, but the General Story option is still grayed out. Anyone have the same problem? Do I need to do a fresh install or something?

I have a small group of 5 and I have to say that although the game is fun at times local, many of us have migrated to other better fighting games.
GG Xrd is one of them and Skullgilrs is even better that what SF V currently is.
If you are the same person I replied to, it really comes to taste but be mindful that 40 is indeed way too much for what you get (even counting what is to come)
